The Eastern Towhee

Here's a new visitor to my feeders this year. - Well at least a new forager of the fallen seeds from the bird feeders...

The Eastern Towhee is an oversized sparrow that is know as a "bird of the undergrowth". They spend most of their time in brush, tangles and thickets. -  I guess the snow and ice of this past week took him out of his comfort zone and into my view.
